Kapiti Economic Development Association (KEDA) is an independent incorporated society of professionals, businesspeople and community groups committed to helping create a vibrant and growing economic eco system in Kapiti. We actively support and enable entrepreneurs, start-ups, growth businesses and community groups with a range of mentoring, advisory and training services to help their businesses and projects to thrive.
We partner with council, the independent Economic Development Kotahitanga Board and other agencies to help with other deliverables toward building a thriving Kapiti. We are independent, apolitical and not an advocacy agency.
KEDA established and manages KickStart Kapiti, a programme designed to support owners of new projects and start-up businesses with developing and commercialising their ideas. Since its introduction in 2019, KickStart Kapiti has supported over 30 business and community projects with several going on to build sustainable growth ventures.
In 2021, KEDA established the Business Hub, a drop in and co working space located at the Kapiti Airport terminal, 60 Toru Rd., Paraparaumu Beach. The Hub offers a large meeting/training area and hot desks with a KEDA representative present to assist as required. We continually strive to be known as the centre of business activity for the Kapiti community. Supported by an energetic board, we are driven to help businesses and community groups create a thriving Kapiti.
Our Donors & Partners
We would like to recognise and thank the generosity of the many members who have helped the development of KEDA since 2018, including our substantial donors for their contributions toward the development of the KEDA Business Hub at Kapiti Airport.
