Kia Ora 🙂
My names Karl Webber
I am of the three local Iwi, and have lived on the Kapiti coast most of my life.
I am a little over 50 now.
I have raised my kids here and been involved with youth professionally on the kapiti coast amongst many other things.
I’ve had a background in a variety of professional activities and also have spent the past 20 plus years working in the Kapiti community on a voluntary basis with youth, drug and alcohol, community development, projects, tourism, environmental issues, local body politics and some input to national politics.
I have a passion for all things and I love our community.
I like to think I’m well connected to many in the community and I find networking and relationship building exciting and rewarding.
I am an avid user of Face Book and like to share many photos and conversations on the local community FB pages and engage with our local community.
I live and play a kaitiaki role out at Motungarara Island when I’m not at the mainland being hands on involved with things there and my Whanau also occupy lands at the North end of Kapiti Island at Waiorua Bay.
I lean heavily towards social investment and am a firm advocate for keeping our community as involved and connected to all areas of community development thats going on around us all.
I feel privileged to be involved with this group of talented, intelligent and caring people and I am looking forward to meeting and building relationships and networks with many others.
