Project Description and Objectives: The ‘Enterprising at 50plus’ Network is a group of people who, at 50 plus, have started or intend to start their own business.
This is a Network for people who, at mid life and beyond, may or may not be employed elsewhere, are self-starters, have an idea, have a product(s), or offer, or want to offer a service. They also want to create a stream of income and remain actively engaged with the community for the forseeable future – past the traditional ‘retirement’ age.
The Network provides the opportunity to meet others, pick up ideas, lessons learned and get support.
Why this project is of benefit to Kāpiti?: NZ is part of the global ‘longevity’ revolution. In mid-life, for multiple reasons, many want to live life on their own terms.
Kapiti and the Horowhenua is a thriving part of our country’s economy and will have its share of Enterprising 50 plus businesses. We need to support them.
